LIFE LESSON LEARNED IN BERLIN

“Being happy does not mean to always get what you want. Happiness comes when you love what you have and when you are grateful for it”

One of my trips, Berlin to be particular, I met this guy…img_0134

He played the drums to perfection, he defined the beat until rhythm met music; he gave justice to his talent. I admired the relationship he had with the drums until I found my body moving involuntarily and right on that street, along the Great Berlin wall, I danced possessed.

In our little conversation I learned this guy has a regular job just like the rest of us, but until his shift ends is when he embacks on a new adventure, his hobby. Some would call it talent. I prefer to call it ‘Living who you truly are.’

Many people live in masks. Great job, beautiful houses, expensive clothes, shoes, name them. We all have had a little trip to our fantasy world that has all our wants met. However, more often than not, what we want is not what we need.

“The first face, you show the world, the second face you show your family and friends, the third face, you never show to anyone. It is the truest reflection of who you are” Unknown

What is your true reflection and are you living it?

My advice, and to self; Live, don’t exist.

ION, Beautiful Berlin. Great History. You should visit 🙂img_0126
