TOP 7 THINGS TO DO IN AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND

So I'm going to imagine that you are interested in visiting New Zealand, especially to attend Auckland Arts Festival? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auckland_Festival

Well, I haven't been lucky enough to visit much of the south however, the north, having visited Auckland makes me ecstatic and I'm feeling extremely excited to make your trip and site seeing for the first week interesting . 7days, 7 to do timetable schedule minus the upcoming festival, here are 7 things to do in Auckland.

1. PIHA BEACH
is is a must visit, Piha beach. It's a beautiful beach located on the Western Coast of Auckland. A dose of double adventure as you have to pass through the Waitakere ranges to the beach itself and experience the spectacular Lion Rock physically for yourself without reliance of diluted explanations of the place.<br

2. RANGITOTO ISLAND

You will have to take the ferry for this and climb to the top of the volcano just so as to live the 360 degrees glimpse of the breathtaking view of both the city and the coromandel peninsula. Better to carry a jar of water though moderate level of resilience and fitness is required otherwise you might give up a long the way. The ferry departs daily from 9:15am to 12:15pm and during the weekends from 7:30am to 12:15pm. It's my personal opinion to visit the place in summer since it gets very slippery on other seasons however, personal preference is relative to every individual.

3. SKY TOWER (Day and night pictures)

Located on Victoria and Federal streets, this is a 328m structure , tallest in New Zealand located at the heart of the city offering a view of the city and glass-fronted lifts to one of the three spectacular viewing point platforms. Sky tower also has a casino, hotel and various all inclusive restaurants. The timings are perfect too. While on vacation, one is seeking not to rush time, so non early birdies like me get to enjoy the trip in the afternoon or evening when the starss ✨ shine like diamonds and the city lights come to life. The sky tower opens from Sunday to Thursday from 8:30am to 8:30pm and Friday-Saturday from 8:30am to 11:30pm.

4. WAIHEKE ISLAND

That's the ferry outing again from the downtown ferry terminal to the beautiful Waiheke island. Wine lovers, this is your call. From one winery to another, my goodness your tastebuds are gonna learn new pleasures, though you might want to carry your I'd or passport as it's a legal requirement to confirm everyone is above legal age. I didn't carry mine so imagine the displeasure and repeated agony of missing out as others had a time of their lives I had to endure for hours. Not cool.

5. AUCKLAND ZOO

If you haven't seen a kiwi bird yet this is your chance. Located on 10 motions Road, western springs, Auckland zoo opens Monday to Sunday from 9:30am to 5:00pm.https:www.aucklandzoo.co.nz/animals/kiwi

6. BUS TOUR
Auckland might be a bit costly to some, heck I did feel the pinch after days of exploring and checking my account balance, however, there are pocket friendly means to just have as much fun and still achieve the thrill of adventure. Take the explorer bus which is a hop on hop off, offering Auckland big attractions all at full commentary. You'll get the chance to enter the zoo, The Domain Park which has surprisingly above an extinct volcano 🌋 and Mt. Eden park. I'm not sure of the timings though it's an everyday schedule, however keep your comments below if you know the accurate timings for the bus tour.

What I love most about the bus tour, I visited the zoo before so I didn't have to see it again for I felt the need to maximize time during my trip. With the map given for the trip onset, I knew the next hop on meeting point so I took a self detour, stopped by some ongoing sale and then Starbucks haha! I just love coffee …. and sales

7. JET BOAT TOURS
New Zealand is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean so if you are into water activities, well let's just say you will never run out of things to do. Leaving from the Viaduct harbor, downtown of Auckland , one has the chance to experience an everyday coastline boat tour of almost an hour from Waitamata harbor to Hauraki golf and many more places along the coastline.
