Lets Talk Money And Covid-19

Hello there. Today’s blog is for everyone…well it has always been that way but read on and you’ll see why I’m typing from an undecided direction.

If you’re 15 years and older, this is for you. You might consider this as an important information …ever. If you’re a woman reading this or a man who might want to get children, likely a female child or has daughters and sisters, this is for you too.

Hear this; we have to make our own money and get some financial independence. Have a savings account that no one is familiar with or has access to. Everyone is experiencing the aftermath of the global pandemic and if you’re a stay home mom and heavily relied on your spouses income, well… going to work has a new normal now with masks, gloves, face-shields, zoom meetings/classes and all that we are uncomfortable with. Even worse, a lot of people have lost their jobs. So, what now?

Self isolations, social distancing and quarantining is still being recommended and practiced in many areas as it is mandated to help curb this pandemic yet responsibilities keep piling up and continue to linger for example loans, rent, basic needs, mortgages, online studies tuition fees, care for younger kids or toddlers… the list goes on and on.

A lot of narcissist are financially responsible and that can escalate to financial abuse for they might not encourage you in getting a skillset or a job.

There are not so many financial support services or systems out there that understand this type of abuse so in the eyes of many, even if someone considers opening up to their friends, it’s going to sound like they are making excuses and nagging.

The person that controls the finances ultimately controls someones life. It’s called power and in the wrong hands its a disaster waiting to happen. But something can save us. Financial independence is important. especially at a time like this, our level of preparedness will save us. And it is not too late if you haven’t started yet. Start an emergency fund back up now.

Our current global predicament is a lesson. Let’s learn from it.
