The one thing about people that are never going to find true happiness are those that are way too materialistic. I just never fully understood how ‘oh I need this massive giant house, fancy cars, cool watch’ just to make me happy. Of course it’s gonna be cool to have all that and super entertaining since we all do want to own such possessions once in our lives, however these things are never going to really fill the empty space in us; they can only try for a brief moment give us euphoria though praise from friends and people we don’t like.
I believe it’s more fulfilling to shift majority of that focus and pay attention to building more quality relationships with people and not objects.
Often times the more expensive objects or things one gets its never going to make one achieve contentment because one will wish to continue replenishing that feeling of euphoria; buy more and more stuff just to make themselves happy through praise from others. Ever notice how people leave after you lost something.
Think of the current pandemic. This situation is a life lesson in so many ways and if we carefully look around us, we’ll notice those that stuck by and those that have left since it hit hard in February 2020. Additionally, it has been a wake up call. For one I’ve had plenty of time in self quarantine to reflect on life, debate on it and look at those who matter and my life as a whole since despite the expensive watches, cool cars, amazing travel lifestyle, big houses, no one is exempted from living and adapting to this new normal. Masks are falling off, vacation plans canceled, living life outside social media since there is nothing much to post haha! Out with the superficial living, in with the real life.
Till next time, cheers 😘🌹
